Today in England it is Pancake Day, well shrove Tuesday is the official term, on this day most people will have pancakes for their Tea (dinner). However these are not the pancakes you have here, they are crepe style pancakes and served with a sprinkling of sugar and some lemon juice, they really are delicious. Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday and always falls 47 days before Easter Sunday, so the date varies from year to year and falls between February 3 and March 9. In 2025 Shrove Tuesday will fall on March 4th. Shrove Tuesday was the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before embarking on the Lenten fast and pancakes are the perfect way of using up these ingredients.

Your Windsor Afternoon Tea will begin with a glass of iced hibiscus tea followed by a selection of crustless finger sandwiches with a variety of seasonal fillings, next the three-tier cake stand resplendent with petite cakes and of course our amazing Scones baked fresh that morning served with clotted cream and strawberry preserve along with a pot of tea of your choosing. Vegan, Gluten/Dairy free? do not worry we have you covered we can make all of the above to suit your specific dietary requirement. Just an update reference the Snow forecast for overnight tonight. As we are not open until 11am whereby all roads SHOULD be open and travel unaffected we will be open as usual from 11-5. We have some amazing New Teas for 2025 we are excited to share with you: First up is a new addition to our "Teas With Benefits" range and it is "Anti-Inflammatory" Tea this herbal blend contains Anise, Cloves, Cardamom, Ginger & Turmeric. Next up is a new Black Tea "Simply Strawberry" a blend including dried Strawberry Pieces. Then, two great new additions to our popular Rooibos range, "Lemon Chiffon" rooibos Blended with lemongrass, this rooibos has a creamy, lemony flavor without a citrus bite.
